Server Ownership and Billing
- Servers on the free tier are free to create and use — no credit card required.
- Paid server plans (Pro) are billed to the server owner, not individual members. Payment is processed by Stripe.
- Plan upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
- All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which we collect where required by law.
Cancellation and Termination
- You can delete your account at any time through your account settings.
- Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 60 days. Messages in servers are disassociated from your identity. Direct messages are deleted. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Server owners can delete their servers. This permanently removes all channels, messages, and files in that server.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for any reason, including violation of these terms or abuse of Company employees or representatives.
Content Ownership
- You retain ownership of all content you post on Parlr.
- By posting content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to provide the Service (for example, delivering your messages to other users in a channel).
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.
- All intellectual property in the Service itself (code, design, branding) belongs to Parlr.
Privacy and Data Protection
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge you have read and understood that policy.
We encrypt data in transit (TLS) and at rest. End-to-end encryption is not currently implemented. We do not sell your data.
Uptime and Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no guarantees of uptime or availability. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service running, but downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
